FIXATION OF WATER METER
Meter is a mechanical device, which is fixed at the initial starting point of the connection to the water pipeline and produces the units of water exhausted by the consumer. Meter consumers use meter in their supply lines and these meters are to be procured and installed by the consumer after being tested at P.H.Rent Sub-Division, Satyanagar on deposit of Rs 20/- towards meter testing fees.
The reading figures displayed in the meters are one of the kind of units, such as,
1-Kilo Gallon(KG), 2- Kilo Liters(KL), 3-Gallon(G), 4- Liters(L).
Meter Reading Observation
Meter Reading Observations are vital for calculating volume of consumption within a specific period of time. For this reason, the PH Division has identified “meter readers”, whose basic purpose is to take regular readings of meters operating through out the city. The consumer has to acknowledge the meter reading every month in the specified register maintained by the Department. The consumer will be responsible for the upkeep of the meter , meter card etc.
