Water connection for construction purposes or for fairs and melas come under        temporary water connection. The rate for temporary water supply are (as on July 2005):

 

Construction of houses for residential purpose	Rs.100.00 per Tap/month or part thereof
Non-residential purpose or fairs ,melas etc	Rs.15.00 per 1000 litres or part thereof

           

NB:-Rates are enhanced @5% every year during the month of July.

 

On application to the Executive Engineer/ Officer-in-charges of water works concerned, temporary water-supply connection may be   discontinued

 

Water rate   for    temporary water    supply for construction of buildings by the contractors will be charged on the basis of consumption of water at the rate mentioned above . The quantity of water consumed will be assessed by installation of water meter.
