For obtaining water supply connection to a non Government building within Urban Local Bodies and any other area where water supply is made from Water Works of such Bodies, the house owner will submit an application addressed to the Executive Engineer, Public Health Division or any Officer-in-charge along with a set of blue print/attested Xerox copy plans in duplicate showing therein holding number, the layout of the premises, the proposed point of connection and fixtures and future extension if any, etc. ,and the signature of the licensed plumber or contractor.
After receiving the application the feasibility towards supply of desired quantity of water to be obtained from concerned maintenance office. After which the applicant has to execute an agreement with the sanctioning authority with a non judicial stamp paper of Rs. Ten along with a non-refundable fees to cover the charges for scrutiny of plans and refundable security fee as applicable from time to time.

NOC FOR APPARTMENTS HAVING OWN WATER SUPPLY / SEWERAGE SYSTEM
Private Apartments having own Water Supply and Sewerage Systems have to accord “No Objection Certificate “ from P.H.E.D on payment of required fees. They should apply to appropriate authority for grant of License for tapping Ground Water . In addition they have to pay for cess as fixed by appropriate authority for using Ground water.

Every consumer except institutions owned by the State or Central Government shall pay in advance security deposit as noted below and such deposits will be refunded to him when he ceases to be a consumer after deducting the amount towards his arrear dues, if any.

The consumers are allowed to give the security deposit either in cash or in National Savings Certificate or State Loan Boards duly hypothecated to the Executive Engineer, or the Officer in Charge of the Water Works concerned, no interest will be paid to the consumer when the security is deposited in cash.

The works shall have to be executed by the house owner through a licensed plumber or registered contractor of the Public Health Engineering Dept with the written approval of the concerned Executive Engineer, officer-in-charge. Cost of the materials viz. Pipes, fittings, masonry etc. and labour shall be borne by the house owner. The size of the ferrule shall be fixed by the Executive Engineer/ officer - in-charge on the basis of number of fixtures in a building and cost thereof will be borne by the consumer.
