4. Aim & Objective of the organisation: 
The aim & objective of the organisation is for planning, execution & supervision of development programmes and  implementation of various of schemes and works in the districts of Cuttack & Jagatsinghpur  relating to the drinking water supply, sewerage and disposal system. Besides this, the Executive Engineer is the Inspector of local works of the ULBs i.e. Banki, Choudwar, Athagarh, Jagatsinghpur and Paradeep.
5. Mission Vision:
The mission is to provide potable drinking water to the inhabitants of 5 ULBs i.e. Cuttack, Banki, Athagarh, Choudwar, Jagatsinghpur & Paradeep and effective disposal of  sewages for achiving sanitary condtion.
6. Brief History and back ground of the division:
The office of the PH Division-I, Cuttack started functioning from 1946. It was looking after supply of drinking water to rural and urban  areas. But after bifurcation of Urban & Rural areas in the year 1991, this division is looking after the supply of drinking water to the urban areas only.
7. Duties to be performed to achieve the mission:
Good work, punctuality, timely performance & sensitivity to public needs  are the duties to be performed to achieve the mission.
8. Details of services rendered by the division:
i) Providing potable drinking water to the inhabitants of the ULBs under PH Division-I, Cuttack,
ii) Maintenance of W/S & S/D System in different ULBs.
